I'm trying to virtualize MacOS Snow Leopard on FreeBSD + bhyve. There is a tool from years and years ago known as Nawcom's ModCD, originally intended for booting Snow Leopard 10.6 and it seems to have a build of Chameleon that actually works without the Penryn flag. As u probably know, bhyve does not support it,so maybe this tool is the only chance to virtualize MacOS with bhyve. I've found 2 tutorials about how to install the Nawcom's ModCD here :

Ok. My problem is that I haven't any optical disc at the moment. You know, the optical disks are also going out of business. So,I've used Balena Etcher and I tried to "burn" the iso image to an USB stick, but unfortunately it said that it is not bootable. I even tried with :
With the recent release of Lion, there is a push to get a Lion version working on VirtualBox. At present, there is yet no boot loader capable of booting Lion on VirtualBox. So, for now, Snow Leopard is still it for a standalone MacOS on VirtualBox. I will update this article as necessary to address a working installation of Lion as it progresses. Stay Tuned.
Apple integrated EFI into the PowerPC and later the Intel Macintosh line to boot Mac OS X. Because this boot system is not compatible with PC BIOS, it requires the standard PC BIOS to boot an EFI boot system first. Then, the EFI boot system can then boot Mac OS X. So, the boot system goes like this:
Yes, VirtualBox has an EFI boot system within, but this EFI system will not boot Mac OS X (probably on purpose). Instead, the Empire EFI boot ISO is necessary to boot Mac OS X (both the Mac OS X install media and the actual operating system once installed).
Note, if the supplied installer does not properly install the driver, download the .zip file and install the AppleAC97Audio.kext Extension the into /Extra/Extensions folder. Then follow the instructions below on rebuilding the Extensions.mkext file.
* I suggest using a VMDK HD image as there are more tools for VMDK format files than VDI files. Though, your choice. If you want to use a VMDK file, go to vmcreator.com and have them make you a file to download.
Mac is awesome wants to make me by a macbook pro! Just a few cleanups that worked for me. I switched my audio to my default intel hd audio and it worked great. I did not get the ac97 to work so I tried it before downloading and it perfect. Also, had to download flash for safari cause youtube kept crashing and now youtube is working. Really appreciate this blog thanks!
im having a lot of problems to install SLeopard 10.6.0 i use osX86, iBoot, hackmod to boot and install and i have success, but when i try to start the os system from Hard drive, my laptop restarts, i tried, many flags, but no success, right now i try to upgrade to 10.6.7 with combo and using this guide and it fails, i had a Panic Screen and im unable to start even using the cd.
I'm trying to install Mac OS Snow Leopard 10.6.3 on my computer (see specs below) using as described in this thread, but all I get is to select boot media and right after that my computer restarts. Is it possible that the problem persists because of that my CD/DVD is an external and is connected via USB? But it is working perfectly on my MAC. If that is the problem, what can I do (except buying a new CD/DVD) to solve it?
All of these are enabled, and even after busratio=23 -v it rebooted itself after a little bit of loading. The bad thing is that I cannot see what the reason is, I have no time. The only option that makes it load a bit longer is -x, but again no luck.

myHack method ,,, 1-create myHack USB ,,, 2-remove the extra folder from the USB ,,, 3-put the one in the link below (If U Have The Same Specs) ,,, (((unfortunately myHack chameleon boot-loader is a little old and has some problems loading GMA X3100 and some other kext so u'll have to replace the boot-loader on the USB with one newer )))
in the process of installing OSX when myHack prompt u for the Extra folder choose (My Own) and then choose the one on ur myHack USB ,,, after u install OSX do NOT use the boot-loader on the Hard-disk that myHack installed it ,,, Use the USB boot-loader to boot into ur new OSX installation
Hazard 10.6.6 installed. With other distributions, either internal PS/2 keyboard doesn't work, or the video hangs up, or nothing boots at all. When installing, select only Chameleon RC5 and VoodooHDA, otherwise there will be problems with one thing or another.
1. Put in the iBoot disk and start the machine up2. Once iBoot is loaded pull the disk out and put in your snow leopard install DVD3. Press F5 (You wont see anything happen) and type -V3. Install the OS. I chose to install on a fresh empty 500GB drive.4. OS installed without a single problem and I was able to download all of the updates from the updater to get my system to 10.6.8. Did not need to use anything else. I still use iBoot because I also have a Windows 7 drive in the machine.
After to make wireless work delete RTL8187B* kext and use the one from here =file&id=2002&act=down&actionhash=1349991210-508ec848abcc14ec02c978b232067809944f6eeaUpdate to 10.6.7 , after usb not working, so to fix i installed usb kexts from here -content/uploads/IOUSBFamily-378.pkg.zipUpdate to 10.6.8 , after pci problem will panic boot, to avoid it use combo update 10.6.8 downloaded from Apple instead of update direct from laptop, after combo update install use alt+option+escape to avoid rebooting and replace the pci kext with the ones from this link =file&id=1481&act=down&actionhash=1349806028-efb142fc3b7ab97bd03a994b1bf64ae04770595e and replaced only IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext on Extensions from here -osx86/downloads/detail?name=IOUSB10.6.3.zip , all workin after
2) The pre-created Lion OS X installation disk. This is a very important part of this installation. The ordinary installation DMG file you download from Apple or any torrent sites will not work here. We need to modify some packages and create a new disk that can be booted in VirtualBox or VMware. For this process, you must have a working Snow Leopard OS on a physical or virtual machine.
The steps are already mentioned on our website, please check this guide on creating a bootable Lion OS X disk. The same bootable 10.7 OS X disk was used to boot and install Lion OS in the VMware workstation. The bootable Lion OS X disk can be created in two methods:
a) Create as a VMDK or VDI file. So this file can be attached to the virtual machine to boot the Lion OS X. This virtual disk file can be used in VMware and VirtualBox whenever needed.b) Create an ISO file. This is also an ideal method to use in all virtualization software and physical computers.if(typeof ez_ad_units!='undefined')ez_ad_units.push([[300,250],'sysprobs_com-box-4','ezslot_8',107,'0','0']);__ez_fad_position('div-gpt-ad-sysprobs_com-box-4-0');3) Minimum 1GB memory to Virtual machine.
If you are trying with ISO file, then once the above screen loaded, click on the CD icon of VirtualBox console and browse the Lion bootable ISO file.Wait for 5 seconds and press F5 to refresh the loaded CD, select it and press ENTER to start the installation.
As mentioned earlier, use this method only if you really need to use the old Mac OS X 10.7 Lion on VirtualBox. There are many ways to use the latest macOS on VMware of VirtualBox with the latest i7 or i9 computers. If any of the above solutions did not fix the Windows PC issues, we recommend downloading the below PC repair tool to identify and solve any PC Issues.
EasyBeast is a DSDT-free solution for any Core/Core2/Core i system. It installs all of the essentials to allow your system to boot from the hard drive. Audio, Graphics and Network will have to be enabled separately.
Boot into the Snow Leopard installation and select Disk Utility. Create two partitions on your main drive. The second partition needs to be in FAT format and large enough to store your multibeast, kexts etc. (4GB should be ample). Reboot into Windows and put all the Multibeast files and kext files etc. onto the newly created FAT partition. Reboot the computer and start the Snow Leopard installation and install. Now once you boot all the files you need will be on the partition you created ? You can delete this partition and extend the first partition into the free space once your finished in Disk Utiility ? 2ff7e9595c
